Three Fountains, Al Beadle Architect.
Three Fountains is a mid-century modern icon, a sough after architecturally significant and magnificent town home community by the Phoenix Valley's top modern architect: Alfred Newman Beadle. It remains a highly sought after project, maybe, even more then ever.
There are 59 units in the complex: Each unit is 1,024 square feet with two bedrooms and 1.5 bathroom, though many owners have customized their interiors to lofts or expanded bathroom sizes.
The success of Three Fountains is in it clean lined design, raised structure, natural light, strategic shading and simple floor-plan.
Al Beadle, moved to Phoenix in the early 1950s and built a variety of commercial and residential projects, including an entire housing development called Paradise Gardens, custom homes, commercial buildings.
The draw of Three Fountains is increased by the location. Arcadia is beautiful prestigious sought area in itself: beautiful homes, stately mansions, condo and town-home complexes of architectural interest and a lot of creativity.
The central location of Arcadia is another draw. Easy access to both downtown Phoenix and downtown Scottsdale, the airport and Camelback Mountain for hiking, major resorts like the Phoenician, the Zoo,Papago Park and an extensive network of exciting restaurant and galleries, museums and culture.
Along 40th St. just across the street, within walking distance, is the ever popular La Grande Orange, Postino, Radio Milano, some of the best ice cream in the valley, Tammie Coe and MJ Bread. The streets surrounding Three Fountains are beautiful places to walk and enjoy the homes on lush green lawns.
The units featured in the photos is a recent remodel by well know interior designer Debbie Dus. She has made this town-home into something very special in the space, the details and the amazingly good atmosphere.
This is a completely new interior with lots of added storage, a laundry, new fixtures, kitchen, bath , flooring: simply everything. Upstairs the bedroom has ample closet space. The other room, a bedroom is now featured as a peaceful yoga room with soft natural light.
Downstairs the interior extends flawlessly with the patio. Stained concert floor in a beautiful brown hue with lots of colorful texture and depth.
The contemporary kitchen has lots of working space and is a beautiful area to be in, cook in or to simply enjoy visually.
Please view the photo tour for the best presentation. There are 50 of them and they will give you a much better sense of the space then what I write. Better yet, if you like what you see the unit is for sale at $299,000.
Town-homes in Three Fountains tend to sell in the range of $230,000 to $300,000 depending on finishes and condition. They rarely come on the market. Should you like to see this one please call us: Joanna 602.358.1392
Please stop back SOON to PhoenixMarketTrends.com for an interview with Debbie Dus, the interior designer of unit 23. We'll have a discussion about Three Fountains, this unit and about interior design.
